This project through Samaritan’s Purse collects small toys, gifts, and hygiene items that fit within a shoebox to be shipped around the world. These small gifts are given alongside the Gospel in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and South America. Beginning November 7th, you can pick up a shoebox(es), along with a suggested list, to support this worthy cause. These donations must be dropped off at FBCC no later than November 21 so it can be shipped in time for Christmas.

Ok, we borrowed that name from Samaritan’s Purse, but the idea is there just the same. Just as in years past, we are collecting small toys, gifts and hygiene items for our Mission Partner in West Fresno. You have a choice to put together a shoebox for a child - OR - you can buy items in bulk and we can assemble them at a packing party (see Operation Serve). Since we don’t have to wait to ship these items, the due date is December 19th.

(why ruin a good thing?) For those unfamiliar with Our Dog Ministry, one of FBCC’s Mission Partner, this ministry seeks to serve the homeless in our community by bringing fellowship and prayer to individuals while serving them a bagged hot dog lunch. At Christmas, Scott and DeeDee, and their team stuff 200 stockings with socks, beanies, gloves, and hygiene items to take to the homeless community. Donations for this ministry will be accepted through December 19th.

On December 18, 8am - 2pm,  Fresno Mission will attempt to serve 1000 plus meals to individuals in need. There will be over a quarter mile of tables set up to serve. Volunteers will set up, prep, cook, serve and clean up. FBCC is gathering a team to serve at this event. This is a great way for families with kids 10 and up to serve together.

December 19, noon - 'til we’re done, we will have two packing parties simultaneously preparing the stockings for Operation Dog Ministry and Operation West Fresno. We’ll have pizza available for volunteers. All ages are welcome to join us!

Texting and emailing are quick ways to communicate with others and send encouraging messages, but nothing beats a hand-delivered message from a friend or loved-one. You can make someone’s day by purchasing a Christmas Gram on Sundays from November 28 - Dec 12th. All you need to do is complete a card with your special note and delivery details and we will hand-deliver your message the week of December 13 -17th.

What do scavenger hunts, Christmas lights, and hot cocoa have in common? Well, nothing. UNLESS, you put them together. Join us on December 4th, 6pm at Railroad Park to walk through the lights at Candy Cane Lane (Peach and Alluvial). You can participate in the scavenger hunt or just enjoy the lights and fellowship of our church family.

Join us for a campus wide party on December 10th, 6pm - 9pm. This is a fun event to invite your friends and family onto our campus. Hot cocoa, s’mores, games, crafts, and a snow pit!

This five part Christmas sermon series will highlight Jesus’ messy family tree. We will be looking at the stories of Jesus’ ancestors to see how the things they longed for would only be fulfilled by the coming Messiah. Join us Sunday mornings, November 28th - December 26th. 

Our special Christmas Eve service, December 24th at 6 pm, will feature Carols by Candlelight. Invite your family and friends, and join us for a special evening of remembrance, reverence, and worship to our Lord and Savior.
